Post by: excess.11 on February 13, 2016, 12:17:19 PM
Hi guys........can anyone measure the amount of freeplay travel at the rear wheel ....in 1st gear on the centre stand. To get similar figures .......measure at the tyre valve stem .
Thx

what got you looking in the first place? and if its more than what others report back where will you look for the problem? I'll check mine next weekend for you. just from memory 35mm sounds par for the course

Went to change the rear tyre .........and as a guide to tolerance / wear and tear.... re the driveline .....a comparison would be not only interesting.... but a comfort that all is relative with age/ wear and tear.
Has been a conundrum in my brainspace for many years... I d like to put to rest ;D

I just measured mine and it's got 35mm of travel at the tip of the valve stem. Others may have a different reading as I've got the smaller 16" wheel which will alter a few measurements slightly (torque, horsepower and roadspeed, eh, Jonesey? :P :P :-* :-*)
