Cost me about $1500 delivered takes a few months for him to build it, all hand made and not a replica.
Exact copy of the original but in stainless so performance is as original (the bike that won all the races), not light weight steel either.
Even has the Yamaha part number stamped in the original spot (cheeky)

When Mal Pitman was having a play with my bike in S.A. a few of the blokes down there had a ride and now want the exhaust system so the plan is to get Heinz to sort out a few. It will take a while and it's a pay up front.
That was no problem he is fair dinkum, been doing this for a while now.
He also does an original system for the RH and XS750 triple but as I said they are hand made and take a couple of months to get done .
Well worth the money, ask Mal Pitman what he thinks of it.
Will also depend on the Euro exchange rate NOT the US dollar rate so it was 980 Euro's delivered when I got mine and the rate hasn't changed all that much.

RH Pipes in Stainless, Hmmmm? The ones on Ev's bike look pretty cool in my opinion, but I don't think they'd suit mine ;)  Black Chrome ;D

I ordered and paid for a set of these a couple of years ago. Long story short, I was told they would need some level of modification in order to bolt on.

I contacted the seller, (in Germany) explained my concerns, said I needed a bolt on, plug and play system.  He refunded my money.

They were not from the original maker and they were quite an old design he stopped selling when he was first trying it out.
Dan look at the pictures of mine, not like the ones you got (bolted straight on). When I first tried them on my spare XS I didn't have any exhaust gaskets so bolted it on raw metal to metal and no leaks.
All mounting brackets are the same as the original pipes, the hangers are used to hold them on as per the original.
BIG difference to the experimental ones.

Same guy who was selling the older style ones but these look close to mine (look back through this thread)
Mal made some changes to suit the longer shocks and centre stand ut bolted straight on and work perfectly but not that expensive.
Mine were from Heinz direct, about 1000E delivered from memory
Ask on the forum before jumping into things like this there is usually an answer.

I don't think I was a member of the forum when I bought mine. I'd need to know that the system you bought from Heinz is the same system in that ebay listing and if it is, what's different about it that makes it now a straight up bolt on replacement? My bike is a '78 remember and the seller in the ebay listing told me that while every system is hand built, they differ slightly. Do you know for an absolute fact that if I were to order a set from Heinz that it would be a guaranteed, straight up bolt on replacement without having to do any modifications? I'm shit at all things metallurgical.
