I meet the one from the Gold Coast a couple of weeks ago
In Burleigh. I was in a rush as usual. Told him about us all and then had to head off.
How about that price??

It's the time of year... Prices of 80's bikes that are practical transportation rather than true "collectables" fluctuate with the seasons... You guys are just coming through spring into summer... Best time of year for XS1100 prices.  If you didn't buy one cheap as autumn was turning into winter, you missed out...

Of course, if you're awash with cash - like Xtian - you can buy at any time and never feel the pinch...  ;D

Check out prices in EU/UK... They're approaching rock bottom... Some sellers will be hoping that someone's "significant other" will splash out on a Christmas present for their beloved, but that's a last gasp really... Prices immedately after Christmas will be at their lowest for a month or so, followed by a steady rise as the spring and summer come back...

When prices start to level out across the year, that's the point when your bike has become truly collectable... Great news for sellers, but disappointing for owners clubs, etc, as that's the point when less bikes get used and more go into storage as "long term investments".

So... Anyone getting an XS for Chrimbo..?

Are yo flying out for the Rally

Love to and maybe one year soon, but this year its the Piston Rally in Santander, Northern Spain... Next year it's probably the XS1100 inernational rally again, plus the Vulcan Rally in Denmark (pal with VN1500 desperate to go).

No plans yet for 2016... I'll run it past the Memsahib and see which way she faints...

Or,

you could bribe her with a holiday in Australia.  Tell he you have a sight seeing tour arranged.  We (the collective XS us) could arrange a pair of wheels for you and hey presto a scotsmans holiday.

Cheap accommodation (I have a spare tent), cheap transportation, All you need is snake and spider repellant.

Happy wife and very happy Miti.  You could even re-aquaint yourself with your old fairing.

there, the seed has been planted, water it and let it grow.

Thanks Eddy;  Xtian has also offered accomodation (something about rebuilding a garage didn't quite chime right though) ;)

Family are too young to abandon long term just now and have no interests in anything with wheels (to my undying shame) so plans for far future events are more likely to bear fruit, no matter how well watered others may be...

Currently trying to fight off "hibernation syndrome" as we're back on GMT, dark O'Clock is just after 4pm and avarage temp today was about 9oC... Enjoy the summer guys..!!
