Title: any ideas about how this can be avoided.........
Post by: AussiXS11G on September 18, 2014, 08:23:57 AM
the Euro XS1100 group missed the 4 hour Euro Classic due to breakages........
Lionel Raviscioni  reports........"We were not there, due to the fact we have broken our racing engine on the previous race at Spa and we have had this week-end the Bol D'Or Classics in France at Magny-Cours....where we also have broken the 2nd engine (primary chain) 20 minutes before the end while we were on the 5th place scratch and 2nd place in our category."

Bryce Ecyrb says...... "The crank has been lightened too much and causes whip in the chain, same problem occurs in cb900"

Huh?
I don't understand how a lightened crank can cause whip in the primary chain, don't know what the definition of whip in the chain is? but all I can think of was the chain was worn, stretched and loose.......and who is back to front ecyrb anyway and where does this story come from?

The answer ......in a paragraph or two..... is so obvious.......when you read it. 8)
It does nt reflect the endless manhours gone into investigating/testing/pulling apart/putting back together/testing again/pulling apart/examining/measuring....yadda yadda yadda...that resolved the issue. :(
Thank god I like to read . :D
On another note....I wonder what job the two women do in the Team pic ?
