Title: Jervis Bay, Nowra
Post by: BrettS on June 23, 2014, 07:01:26 PM
Hey Guy's,
Looks like my long time wish to move back to the beach is about to happen in the next couple of weeks. Anyone down the south coast want to go for a ride and show me around?

Loving Kangaroo Valley Tim, sept don't want to hit one of those wombats on the bike. I haven't checked out the pub yet looking forward to that now.

Bloody Scotty, I miss you telling me how it is haha.
Lawyer reckons I will get the fine minimised if not withdrawn. Going through first step of fine dept review if that doesn't work next step is a letter to court so could go on for some time yet.

It might even be worth appearing in court yourself.Wear a baby bonnet or your primary school uniform;you would look so cute and the magistrate couldn't stop himself from letting you off.

Haha frell of Scotty ya twat.
After getting no joy from the review board i elected to go to court. Pleaded guilty with the explanation, evidence and sob story sent in a letter to court. I actually got a commentary from a family member that happened to be in court the same day and it seems the judge was very impressed with my letter and evidence of the rta website giving the advice you may drive unregistered to test your vehicle.  The family member was less impressed because aparently I get away with every thing hahaha
Long story short I was told that the matter was dismissed and got the official letter today. That wipes a $1200 fine and has me smiling.
But going through this take note I had to plead guilty, it seems that you must drive directly from home to the safety check station. From there you may drive directly to a repair station but not before. Yet call the RTA and they will tell you different.
The website goes further and states what I did test riding the bike for registration purpose was also except able.
It is about time they review the whole process because even the RTA has no idea!
