The Bellingen weekend was the Club Laverda Qld October ride was a weekend affair to Bellingen NSW (one of our members has a few hundred acres on the Kalang River)
Friday - 7 bikes, 8 of us set off from Kyogle NSW at 10.30am meeting Cosi, Levo, and Darty (I rode from Brisbane northside w Russell/Margret, Virgil, meeting Paul outside Beaudesert for a spirited ride thru Mt Lindsay) Down the Summerland Way, thru Casino, Lawrence, Grafton, then on the Armidale road to Nymboida for lunch at Mr Crowe's pub. Then Dorrego, Bellingen at 3.30pm.......551km door to door

Once at the farm board shorts were the order of the day - we were in and out of the pool, canoing the river and kicking back generally....Bruce is developing an electric bike, he has 2 models atm - we all did the rounds on them

Saturday - Derek and Rod arrived in the afternoon - Derek unfortunately highsided the Lavolta on the gravel driveway requiring ambulance and some surgery on his L knee - the rest of us relaxed on the farm in perfect weather.
Sunday - with Derek still in Coffs hospital, I alone remained for another night while the others headed back to Brisvagis and home.
Monday - I left early - up the Waterfall way to Dorrego, Nymboida, Grafton, then a sprited ride up the Gwyder Hwy to Glen Innes then north on the New England thru Stanthorpe, Warwick and into Brisvagis - a totally uneventful ride thankfully.
694km door to door
the latest on the BS36 carbs on my machine.....
14.5km/litre for the whole 1245km trip
16.0km/litre for the transport stage between home and Casino on Friday
12.71km/litre for the Gwyder Hwy between Grafton and Glen Innes (yes - I was fairly up it)

there are some more pics and vids here
