The 135 on the butterfly is the degree of angle on disc,
When buying a new one you’d search bs34 with 13.5 degree angle on the disc

If yours are early carbs, 1978, they won’t have any numbers on them and they should have brass floats, from what I’ve deduced over the years they didn’t number the carbs till early 79, when the carbs went from 4 holes in the intake throat to 3, from mid 79 the mixture screws were concealed and they had cast in, BS 34, I think, on the side above the float chamber, please someone correct me if I’m wrong, PS, the first early carbs ran 140 mains. From there they decreased to I think 132 then I think down to 128 or 125,
I’ll allow the Gurru’s to correct me.

Gday all
The only numbers I can see are on the butterfly 135 after a little square inside a square , gnurled mixture screws.
Nice looking piece of engineering these carbies.

We have some bare bodies, are yours the early ( mixture screws that are exposed with a nurled top ), or later ones that sit low in a casting that would normally have a small rubber plug conceiling it? There $10 each plus postage, the early ones are getting very scarce, PS they will need cleaning.

Alternatively - The BS36 carbs off the XJR1200 fit straight on - a little re-jetting is required
they can be sourced locally

What number carbs do you need? IE, number 1 2 3 or 4, I may have some bodies you could use.

The posts can be repaired, either by tie wire or drilling and tapping the stump and screwing in a new post, if your handy you can do it yourself or do you know a good mechanic or fitter who can do it
