Hi Jonesy - The gold wheels were done by the previous owner (I bought the bike as a really nice second hand) along with a few mods - incl Gold Wheels and brake rotors  , Laser 4:1 exhaust and for some unaccountable reason  'drop bars' such as you would have on a Jota , inverted ??? which was really hard on the wrist as they angled back and down so they soon came off !

regards Kev

Hadn't thought of that - good shout , that's given me something to think of as an alternative and if you look at my picture of the bike when I first had it the trims were painted black anyway - cheers Kev

I am tackling several areas I haven't been happy with for some time :-

Refurbishing all three brake callipers and mounting points (strip , media blast , clean , repaint and fit new pistons and new seal kits). - Done rear so far !

Tidy up seat and add missing seat trims (although that may be a bit of a way off as I will have to get the new trims resprayed).

Remove both left and right handlebar switch clusters (strip , media blast , clean , repair damaged switches and repaint/add new  decals). Done right hand side complete including new red bar on kill switch. and halfway through other side halves.

Handlebar clamp (done) , oil cooler bracket , horn bracket , side-stand , centre stand are all getting repaired and repainted along with original rear chrome section of mudguard being swapped out (halfway through replacing parts from old one) for a better one that I've been meaning to put on.

Probably try and get some of the engine cases cleaned and repainted too as (especially the clutch side) they are all looking pretty tatty.

Rewiring my garage too , so will be able to see what I'm doing (new lights) and use (safe) power in the garage - yippeee

regards Kev

Hi Jonesy - the exhaust is a Marshall 4 into 1 - made by the same people as Laser exhaust systems in Europe - my original exhaust had the same configuration downpipes and collector but a straight tail pipe and was badged as a Laser (see some of my older pics).

Hey Kev,
Whats the make of exhaust? Looks near new and/or well maintained.
9 times out of 10 brute force and ignorance is required to get the carbs off, go on, do it!

Latest pics - not much different to see (outside new house/garage) - dragged the old girl out (it was slightly warmer and relatively sunny) and attempted to start and run without any substantial success - think it's a carb thing and I still haven’t got the courage to have the carbs off yet (I know what pigs they are) - enjoy - Kev
