My project bike was sitting in the PO's shed since 1996 and looks like he had grand plans, fitted new braided lines, topped up the master cylinder and thats as far as he got.
16 yrs later I attempt to bleed the brakes.......noth'n.
Plan B.  create a vacuum at the bleed nipple(suck on the bleed line) while pumping.....same again, noth'n
Starting to think all the seals etc are shot.
Last resort before a complete strip and rebuild of the brakes was to pressurise the fluid resovoir.
there was instant result, fluid pumping through and feel at the lever.
To pressurise the resovoir I got a pushbike tyre pump, an old valve from a tyre tube, cut out a substitute lid for the ressy and I'll let the piccy do the rest..........
